This page explains the governmental structure, various titles and offices of the Kiov

King/Queen

The King (or Queen) is the absolute head of state, and holds complete, unaltered control of all aspects of the state. No one has more power, and no one can alter their decree, the King or Queen may legally override, nullify, or otherwise challenge any decision made by anyone. 

Royal Family

The royal family, such as Princes and Princesses, may hold offices described below, though of course, their royal status gives them much more power and allow them to answer directly to the King or Queen. 

The Patriarchate of Kiovna

The Patriarch of Kiovna is the spiritual and cultural head of the Kingdom, they typically hold events and the such. While the Patriarch is misconstrued as the embodiment and voice of Aiken on the mortal plane, this is not the case, the King is viewed as such, with the Patriarch merely being the most prolific and important follower of the faith. 

The Comitatus

The Comitatus is a group of trusted advisors of the King or Queen. They may hold other offices, but this office grants them unrestricted access to the King or Queens ear and favor. 

The Senate

Senate is a council appointed by the King or Queen to act as a juidicary and court, they typically handle criminal and civil cases for the King or Queen. They may also propose and make laws for the King or Queen.

The Chamberlain

The Chamberlain is an office that was established to manage the Kingdom's reosurces, ie the King or Queens coffers, and any donated money or resources. They handle distribution of these resources to those who need them, like those taking part in construction projects. 

Prefect

The Prefecture, led by a Prefect, is synonomous with what the rest of the universe call regions. All claimed Prefectures are led by an appointed Prefect with the exception of Tuhgrek Prefecture (Tuhgrekl Spur), which, as the capital Prefecture, is under direct control of the King/Queen. 

Vicar

The Diocese, led by a Vicar, is a division of a Prefecture, typically defined by "natural" borders, Vicars, like Prefects, are appointed by the King/Queen. 

Governor

The Province, led by a Governor, is a small region of 2-5 systems, typically defined by population size and importance, Governors are elected by the residents within them and approved by the Senate. 

Curiae

The Curiae, led by the office of the same name, is a system government, Curiae are also elected by the residents within them and approved by the Senate, much like the Governor. 

Citizenry

The common citizen on the Kingdom, you may vote in public polls, propose ideas to senators, and a multitude of other basic function.
